Alright interweb here’s the deal. Everyone assumes that my results are because of my obsessive CrossFitting… though this may be true it is not for the reasons everyone believes.
I’m going to drop a truth bomb that goes against being a fitness coach and trainer, ready? CrossFit (alone) will NOT get you a 6 pack *gasp*. As a matter of fact a good training routine is the least important aspect of the triangle of health, wellness, and abs.
Everybody I meet assumes that I got my results from starting CrossFit. Though this is true, it’s not for the reasons most people believe. Yes during competition season (the CrossFit Open) I workout multiple times a day, but I’d still look and feel 90% as good as I do even if I cut out the training. The fact of the matter is following such an absurd training routine forces me to keep all my other ducks in a line.
As I’ve mentioned before, we’re commonly misinformed about the role our diet plays in things like heart disease, but where people really miss the mark is how much of an affect these things have on the rest of our diet, health, and results in the gym.
This post is a 2 part series about things that will get you results without setting foot in a gym (though proper and regular exercise is definitely recommended, because as you know it’s all in the hips). Though the numbers vary, the fact of the matter is about %75 of weightloss is going to be based on your diet, not your workout. Checkout this post about the paleolithic diet to learn why it’s so effective, and part 2 of this post talks about how to make it part of your life. As I learned in the last few weeks Part 1 is about the silent killer, the simplest thing seems to be the hardest one to do…
Part 1: The Silent Killer Caught me
Part 2: Eat Well or Die (literally)
